Spas of the Kłodzko Valley – Kudowa, Polanica, Duszniki, Lądek

The Kłodzko Valley is one of Poland's most important spa areas. For centuries, resorts have developed around mineral springs, where to this day you can drink the healing waters, stroll through well-maintained spa parks, and enjoy treatments. Here are four of the region's most famous spas.

Kudowa-Zdrój

One of the oldest spa towns in this part of Europe. The heart of the town is the extensive Spa Park, visited by spa guests since the 18th century. Nearby, in the Czermna district, lies the famous Skull Chapel—a temple interior lined with human bones. Kudowa is also a good base for trips to the Table Mountains.

Polanica-Zdrój

An elegant resort known for its spa park with fountains and a promenade lined with cafes, Polanica is renowned for its mineral springs and peaceful, family-friendly atmosphere. It's a comfortable place to combine relaxation with excursions to the surrounding area.

Duszniki-Zdrój and the Museum of Papermaking

Duszniki-Zdrój is a spa town with a rich selection of healing waters and a spa park with a pump room. The town's biggest attraction, however, is the Museum of Papermaking , housed in a historic 17th-century paper mill. It's one of the most valuable technical monuments in Poland, visited by tens of thousands of tourists every year.

Lądek-Zdrój

One of the oldest health resorts in Poland, renowned for its healing thermal waters, Lądek is also a good winter base—there's a small ski resort nearby, and the resort is part of the ski region centered around the Śnieżnik Massif.

Długopole-Zdrój

It is also worth mentioning the youngest of the Kłodzko health resorts – Długopole-Zdrój, valued for its peace and picturesque walking areas.
